RFC is a community of people who follow Christ the King and whose purpose is to live in radical obedience to the teachings of the gospel.
Radically following Jesus:
- We envision a community of believers becoming a people who read and understand the Bible, becoming as a result a people of the Word. We will read the whole Bible through the lens of Jesus Christ, grasping his Lordship, Sonship, and salvation throughout the Old and New Testaments.
- We envision a community of believers who acknowledge falling short of the holiness we strive for in Christ but pressing on to be obedient as we grow in our knowledge of Christ.
- We envision a community of believers worshiping Jesus in a blended style that encourages all ages to approach the throne of God with praise and thanksgiving.
Furthering the Good News:
- We envision a community of believers influencing and working towards the betterment of the Village of Rosenort in terms of service and care for individuals and families regardless if they belong to RFC or not. We envision that with a growing residency in Rosenort increasing opportunities to express the values of Christ's kingdom culture to a people who need to know God and the difference he makes in one's life.
- We envision a community of believers sharing our faith in witness and mission both at home and abroad. We envision assisting the Spirit in preparing and nurturing individuals to become missionaries, pastors, church workers, and church planters in Canada and the world. We envision opportunities for short term mission trips to encourage the exploration of giftedness in service and exposure to needs outside of Rosenort.
- We envision a community of believers discipling all ages towards maturity in Christ and to discover their divine designs so that they are equipped to serve Christ effectively in some ministry either within or outside our church. Our goal is that every member be a minister.
Caring for the community:
- We envision a community of believers practicing the Great Command to love God and love each other. We will be a living example of Jesus' command to love one another so that all people will know that we belong to him.
- We envision a community of believers living out the example of Jesus in our conversations, in our relationships, at home and at work, at rest and in recreation. We will represent Christ in our language and actions wherever we find ourselves.
- We envision becoming a church of small groups (life groups) where our people model biblical community: a safe place where we accept one another and are accepted, love and are loved, shepherd and are shepherded, encourage and are encouraged, forgive and are forgiven, and serve and are served.
